How Much Firewood Do I Need?
This will depend on how much you use your fireplace or outdoor fire pit. Typically if you burn firewood once or twice per week and you want a one month supply, you'll need about 7 to 8 cubic feet.
Our 3x Large Bags (7 cubic feet) will typically last 3 weeks - 1 month.
A Half Rack (22 cubic feet) will typically last about 2 ½ - 3 months.
A Full Rack (43 cubic feet) will typically last about 5 - 5 ½ months.
In the colder months, our customers purchase a Full Rack (43 cubic feet) to last them from October to February.
If you're just looking to get a nice fire going for the holidays or a special occasion, our 3x Large Bags (7 cubic feet) will be just fine.

What Type of Wood Do you Sell?
We sell Birch that is cut to 16" lengths and seasoned/dried so that it's ready to burn with minimal creosote. From time to time we will carry softwood varieties like Spruce or Lodgepole Pine.

Why Don't You Sell By The "Cord"?
These terms are often confused and mixed up with face cord, stove cord and so on. What we did is take the two most popular quantities we sell and labelled them with our own names.
A Half Rack (22 cubic feet) occupies a space approximately 8 feet long by 2 feet high by 16 inches deep. When stacked neatly in a normal pickup truck, this takes up 45% of the truck bed when filled to the top.
A Full Rack (43 cubic feet) occupies a space of approximately 8 feet long by 4 feet high by 16 inches deep. When stacked neatly in a normal pickup truck, this takes up 95% of the truck bed when filled to the top.
Why Don't You Sell By Weight?
Because that's not the right way to sell wood. We sell by the cubic foot, because volume means more than weight.
Don't be fooled by firewood providers that claim to sell heavy bags of firewood. Always ask for the cubic footage.
Do You Sell Custom Quantities?
Yes! Depending on the size of your order, we can accommodate custom quantities by the cubic foot. Contact us for availability and pricing.
How Do I Know I'm Getting Quality Seasoned Firewood?
When you are searching for places to buy firewood, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Firewood quality varies widely because of species, how it was cut, split, handled, stored and measure before it gets delivered to you.
Look for:
➡️ Seasoned/dried wood – every reputable firewood seller should have a good handle on the moisture content of the firewood they are providing.
➡️ Uniform lengths and well split.
➡️ A good firewood mix – Birch & higher grade soft wood like Tamarack or Lodgepole Pine are an excellent combination both for burn time, heat output and aroma.

Each and every customer we provide firewood too is not just a number, they are family. With our 6-star guarantee even though we're just talking about firewood, should our customers need anything at all like a hand moving a couch, or their dry cleaning picked up, or walkway shoveled - we will go out of our way to make it happen (we've been tested on this!).

What Areas Do You Deliver To?
We deliver firewood to Edmonton, Sherwood Park and St. Albert but can make exceptions for Spruce Grove or Stony Plain (and the rural areas all around).
Can You Deliver While I'm Not Home?
We sure can, but only after we've met you and completed the first delivery. After that, we'll happily deliver to your home when you are away!
